We are sad to announce the passing of our beloved Hinchman Heritage Society member Charlotte Oselador. Below is from her obituary.
Oselador, Charlotte, (Hinchman), of West Milford passed away on Christmas morning at the age of 92. Charlotte grew up in Bloomingdale and Pompton Plains, NJ, and lived in Wayne with her husband Jerry and their two sons until 1987 when she and her husband retired to Beachwood, NJ. She spent her final years in West Milford with her son and daughter-in-law. Charlotte was predeceased by her parents Joseph William and Eva Hinchman (Elmendorf), her two brothers Jack and Bill, and her husband Jerry Oselador. She is survived by her two sons, Jerry David (wife, Eleanor Wehmuller) and Peter (wife, Diane Alles), and three grandchildren, Charlene, Sophia, and Peter, all of West Milford. Charlotte was an active member of the American Legion, the Hinchman Heritage Society, and of her Church community in her younger years. She worked at Curtis Wright Aeronautical during and after the Second World War. Charlotte was an avid and imaginative reader, knitter, baker, cross-word puzzle enthusiast, and a supporter of NASA. Her generosity, her kindness, and above all her unfailing sense of humor will be sorely missed by all who knew her. May she rest in peace.
